Glenn, Thank you for informing me of your website. You have done a wonderful job of documenting your family tree. There is a great feeling of connectedness when a family member can read about his/her ancestors and know where they came from. The Harper family is a very interesting family, no matter which John Harper was the father of Charles. I am not convinced that Charles, who married Polly Chamblin is the son of Captain John Harper, although Captain John did have a son named Charles who was born in 1769. He was said to have married two other women. I don't remember thier names off the top of my head, but if you are interested I will be glad to look them up. I am sending additional info. via e-mail.
